Privacy Policy
Your privacy is
important to us. It is Softmagazin's policy to respect your privacy regarding any information we may
collect from you through our app, Contractor Estimator.
What information we collect?
We only collect information you provide. More detail about how we collect this informations are listed below:
- Profile Information. We collect information that you provide when you set up your Contractor
Estimator account, such as your username, email address, and password. You can add other information to your
profile, such as a phone, SSN or a profile photo.
- Your Contacts. When you choose to import contact informations, we will collect information from your
device’s phone book. We use this information to help you easily add customers to your account or update your
invoice details. From your contacts we only import the followings: name, phone, email, business name,
business number, bank, state and address.
- Images. We store your images (including profile picture, business logo and estimate
images) to the server and delete it whenever you ask for. We do not upload any images without the
intent of the user. We do not share or disclose any images that are stored on our servers.
- We use TrueDepth
API technologies (ARKit, with automatic estimation of the real-world directional lighting environment)
to
measure the environment. The only use of this information is to provide valuable user features. None of the
information collected by the TrueDepth API ever leaves the user’s device. We do not share information with
third
parties, do not store or process in any other way the data which we accessed and used via TrueDepth API.
How do we use your informations?
We only ask for personal information
when we truly need it to provide a service to you. We collect it by fair and lawful means, with your knowledge
and consent. We also let you know why we’re collecting it and how it will be used.
- We only retain collected information
for as long as necessary to provide you with your requested service.
- What data we store, we’ll protect
within commercially acceptable means to
prevent loss and theft, as well as unauthorized access, disclosure, copying, use or modification.
- We don’t share any personally
identifying information publicly or with third-parties, except when required to by law.
- Our app may link to external sites
that are not operated by us. Please be aware that we have no control over the content and practices of these
sites, and cannot accept responsibility or liability for their respective privacy policies.
- You are free to refuse our request
for your personal information, with the understanding that we may be unable to provide you with some of your
desired
services.
How do we secure the data?
Security of your information is important to us. We maintain appropriate technical, administrative, and physical
security measures that are designed to protect your information from unauthorized access, theft, disclosure,
modification, or loss. We regularly review our security measures to consider available new technology and
methods.
- Connections and requests to our API is only done through Hypertext
Transfer Protocol Secure (HTTPS).
- Passwords are hashed with random salts and stored securely in our
database. We cannot read your passwords.
How users may request deletion
of
their data?
In order to delete all your data stored in the app, you can simply delete your account (from the profile
section), which will delete your profile, associated profile settings, your clients and all of the information's
associated with your account.
Privacy Policy Updates
We may amend or update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last Updated” date at the top of this policy
reflects the effective date of such policy changes.
